Challenge #126 - Anything Goes

Happy Wednesday once again!  It's time for another great new challenge here at Word Art Wednesday, and we're SO blessed that you have chosen to join us again.  We have a special THIRD PRIZE this week, so be sure to read the instructions on how to enter that prize.

This week's scripture/word art is 2 Corinthians 5:21.  I will simply share with you how this verse was explained to me, and how I interpreted it.  I hope that my simple explanation of what this verse means to me will be a blessing to you.  "For He (God the Father) hath made him (Jesus Christ) to be sin for us (meaning Jesus took our sin on Himself on the cross), who knew no sin (He was perfect and blameless - this is why He was a worthy sacrifice for our sin; similar to a lamb in the Old Testament being sacrificed for sin - the lamb had to be spotless and with no broken limbs/perfect); that we (those who have accepted Jesus' sacrifice and asked Him to save us from our sins) might be made the righteousness (perfection) of God in him (Jesus)."  So basically, what it's saying is that Jesus took our sin upon Himself so that we could experience God's righteousness.  WOW - how wonderful that God cares about us enough to provide the proper sacrifice for us to experience His righteousness, and be able to spend eternity with Him in Heaven.  What a beautiful and wonderful message from God's Word.  I will tell you, however, that reading other people's interpretations of scripture is always nice, and often helpful, but it's very important that YOU also get into God's Word and experience and interpret it for yourself.  It's like my pastor says, "don't just go to church and listen to the pastor and ASSUME that He is quoting God's Word correctly, and interpreting it correctly.  Examine it for yourself.  Read it for yourself.  Let it bless your life!"  God's Word is filled with rich blessings.  Let it bless your life and draw you closer and closer to Jesus Christ, the ONE WAY God provided for us to get to Heaven.

As always, you are welcome to save this week's free scripture/word art file to your computer, but are not required to use it in order to play along in our challenges.   We welcome you share your art with us; remembering that Anything Goes as long as it's family-friendly, and uses an encouraging or uplifting sentiment. This includes any type of art (not just limited to cards).  You may link up to 5 projects each week. The more you enter, the more you increase your odds of winning.  It is our desire that God's Word will be a blessing and encouragement to you each week. If you have any questions about the rules, be sure to read the complete list of rules under our page tab for "Challenge Rules".  Because our ultimate goal is to honor God, we have no other choice but to delete any entries that do not adhere to these guidelines.  Let us know if you have any questions, and thanks for your understanding and participation!

Here's this week's beautiful scripture/word art file.
We hope that it will be a blessing to you!
